Got MOOC? A MOOC is a massive online open course. MOOCs seem to have been in the educational news quite a bit over the last few months. Stanford University ran their first MOOC last fall. In May, Harvard announced that will be working with MIT to create a nonprofit called edX to offer MOOCs. But the first MOOCs started out of Canadian universities in 2008 and were a little less massive with enrollment of only 2000 – 3000 participants.
